The launch of a new Vande Bharat Express train offers enhanced connectivity between Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh, linking Patliputra and Gorakhpur. This marks the 71st Vande Bharat train in the nation, contributing towards the target of 75 such trains. The train will initially operate at a speed of 110 kmph, with plans to boost the speed later. Public travel will start from June 22nd.
The train will have nine stops on its route, including Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Bapudham, Motihari, Sagauli, Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, and Kaptanganj. The minimum fare for the AC chair car is Rs 925 from Patliputra to Gorakhpur, and Rs 1820 for the executive class. The train will run six days a week, not including Saturdays. The train will depart from Gorakhpur at 5:40 am and arrive in Patliputra at 12:45 pm, while the return journey will leave Patliputra at 3:30 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 11:30 pm.
