In a significant announcement, Chirag Paswan revealed his plan to contest all 243 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking at a rally in Ara, he affirmed his decision to run in the election, aiming to fortify the NDA coalition and contribute to its success. He emphasized his commitment to the people of Bihar, leaving the choice of his constituency to their discretion.
During his address, Paswan also criticized the RJD and Congress, linking them to the ‘jungle raj’ period. He mentioned the Bharat Ratna given to Karpoori Thakur. In response to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against the Election Commission, Paswan stated that it indicated Gandhi’s preparation for defeat. He dismissed claims of election fixing, seeing them as efforts to discredit the electoral process. Paswan also reiterated that his focus is not on the Chief Minister’s post.
