In a shocking incident from Gopalganj, Bihar, a young man’s addiction to online gaming led him to an extreme measure. After losing 2 lakh rupees in an online game, the man approached a doctor with a desperate plea: to buy his kidney.
The man, Sujit Kumar, hails from the Saran district and runs a video studio. His foray into online gaming began with an advertisement for DBG on Instagram. Initially, he experienced some success in the game.
Fueled by the initial wins, Sujit began to gamble more and more, even using money sent by his uncle for a motorcycle in hopes of multiplying the money. Unfortunately, his luck ran out, and he was left with a substantial debt.
Seeking a way out of his financial problems, Sujit left his village and went to Gopalganj. He approached a doctor at a private clinic near Ambedkar Chowk, explaining his situation and requesting that the doctor purchase his kidney.
Upon hearing of the request, the doctor sought to understand the situation. Sujit explained his online gaming losses and his need to pay off the debt. The doctor immediately alerted others.
Those present intervened and spoke with Sujit, eventually contacting his family. Sujit’s mother and relatives came to the clinic and convinced him to return home. The event has become a talking point in the area.
