Odisha’s government has appointed Saswat Mishra, a 1996-batch IAS officer, as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. This decision follows changes made after the Saradhabali stampede. Mishra will continue serving as Principal Secretary, Finance Department, and Chairman, Idco, along with his new duties. The position became vacant on May 2nd. The government also appointed Arvind Agarwal as overall in-charge of Rath Yatra, Pinak Mishra as the new SP, and Chanchal Rana as Puri Collector.
