A disturbing case has emerged from Darbhanga, Bihar, involving a husband accused of murdering his wife. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Sumitra Devi, was reportedly killed by her husband, Lalbabu, who allegedly used scissors in the attack. Police have taken the suspect into custody and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The murder took place in Baghauni village, Darbhanga, on Sunday afternoon. Preliminary reports suggest that Lalbabu may have been driven to commit the crime by suspicions of infidelity. The couple had a love marriage approximately four years ago and have a young daughter.
Lal Babu, who had been working in Delhi, is said to have returned home after learning of his wife’s alleged affair. The wife had reportedly been living with another man before returning home. Following a confrontation, the situation escalated, leading to the tragic death. Authorities, including SDPO Ashutosh Kumar, responded to the scene, arrested Lalbabu, and are now conducting a thorough investigation, including a post-mortem examination of the body.
