A case of alleged ‘Love Jihad’ has surfaced in Patna, with a woman accusing a medical student, Mohammad Seraj, of deceiving her and forcing her to convert to Islam. The woman reported that she met Seraj, who presented himself as ‘Sonu,’ during her treatment at NMCH. She states that he participated in her religious rituals, like Chhath Puja, and gained her trust by promising marriage. She alleges that Seraj engaged in physical relations with her under the guise of marriage. After learning his real identity, she claims she faced pressure to convert, physical assault, and was forced to eat beef. The woman alleges that after she refused to convert, Seraj married another woman and his family also harassed her.
