The case of two Pakistani women appearing on Bihar’s voter list has raised serious questions. The women, alleged to have arrived in India nearly 70 years prior, were found during a Ministry of Home Affairs investigation focusing on foreign nationals exceeding visa limitations. The investigation showed voter ID cards were issued to Imrana Khanam (Imrana Khatoon) and Firdousia Khanam. The women were also verified during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, which was part of the preparations for the 2025 assembly elections. The Booth Level Officer responsible for verification was informed by the election department following an official notice from the Home Ministry on August 11.
