A man in Patna, Bihar, was arrested by Phulwari Sharif police for impersonating an IPS officer and carrying out fraudulent activities. The accused, identified as Asrar Ahmed, was apprehended based on a tip-off. Ahmed would falsely claim to be an ADG-rank officer and extort money from people. He is accused of having defrauded over half a dozen people, including a government employee, by misusing his fake identity. The police are working to uncover his network and identify more potential victims. The police are thoroughly investigating the entire case, and Ahmed has been sent to judicial custody.
