Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana in Bihar on Friday, marking a significant step towards women’s empowerment. As part of the scheme’s initial phase, Rs 10,000 was transferred to the bank accounts of 75 lakh women. The program is designed to facilitate self-employment opportunities and uplift livelihoods.
“I’m happy to be a part of the joy of the women in Bihar during Navratri,” Modi stated. “So far, 75 lakh women have joined the scheme. Rs 10,000 each has been transferred into their bank accounts.”
