A tragic event unfolded in Jehanabad, Bihar, where a husband allegedly murdered his wife amid a domestic dispute and subsequently attempted to cover up his actions by fabricating a snakebite. However, the couple’s two disabled daughters revealed the truth through their gestures, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The incident occurred in Sultanpur village, under the purview of the Parsa Bigha police station. The victim was a mother of five children, and she was killed by her husband after 12 years of marriage. The incident took place on Thursday night. Police arrested the accused, Ranjan Das.
The brother of the deceased filed a case regarding the murder. The body of Rinki Devi (34) was given to the family after a post-mortem examination at the Sadar Hospital. Bablu Kumar, the brother, stated that his sister married Ranjan Das in 2013 and they had five children, including two daughters with disabilities. Bablu added that Ranjan, a laborer, spent money wastefully, which led to frequent arguments. Rinki had been at her parent’s home, but her husband convinced her to return. Later that night, she was allegedly strangled. He then fled. The next morning, the family was informed of her death, and the disabled daughters conveyed the truth via gestures to their uncle. The family looked for the husband, but he was missing, along with his family.
