A train in Bihar was brought to a standstill for around 30 minutes due to a peculiar event involving a dog. The incident occurred in East Champaran, on the Raxaul-Samastipur passenger train. The presence of a dog, tethered inside the women’s compartment, triggered a state of panic among the passengers, resulting in their immediate evacuation from the carriage. Upon being notified, the train manager contacted RPF and station staff. Following an inspection and the sealing of the affected compartment, the train was able to restart its journey. The DRM of Samastipur division later handed over the dog to the Animal Welfare Board in Darbhanga.
