Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) President Chirag Paswan’s recent remarks have generated considerable attention. Paswan, known for his criticism of the Bihar government on matters of law and order, has now made statements that are drawing notice. This comes after his earlier criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Chirag Paswan expressed confidence in Nitish Kumar’s continued leadership. He stated, “I am fully assured that Nitish Kumar is in perfect health and fit to run Bihar for the next five years. The election will be fought under his leadership, and the NDA will win.”
During an interview, when questioned about the need for younger leadership in Bihar and his confidence in Nitish Kumar’s ability to lead for the next five years, the Union Minister affirmed his complete confidence in the matter. He expressed that Nitish Kumar is entirely fit and well to continue for the next five years, and that he hopes the CM stays healthy to provide more of his experience to Bihar.
Paswan went on to mention that Bihar requires experienced leadership at this time, and that Nitish Kumar is the one who brought the state from the ‘jungle raj’ era to where it is today. He added that although generation shifts occur in all states, governments, and parties, the current situation in Bihar calls for experienced leadership. He believes that the next five years of Bihar will be under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
Regarding his statements on law and order, Paswan explained that he uses his position as a part of the central government to bring the public’s concerns to the government. He noted that while he is not part of the Bihar government, he supports it and thus, raises important issues. He also mentioned that the opposition attempts to twist his words to make the public believe he will contest elections independently, separate from the NDA.
The Union Minister also pointed out that the NDA is a strong alliance, and all five parties are working together. He stated his belief that the NDA will win over 225 seats in Bihar. He further stated that the opposition tries to make it appear that he is disrespecting his own government, whereas he has complete faith in his government and Nitish Kumar.
Paswan also noted that the public gave Nitish Kumar the title of ‘Sushasan Babu’ because of his actions. He explained that if the law and order situation deteriorates in Bihar even today, Nitish Kumar is the only person with the experience to control those situations. He also commented on SIR in Bihar, mentioning that it was needed because the opposition had been complaining about irregularities after every election, and now that these irregularities are being fixed, the same people are opposing it.
