Following the incident, chaos erupted. Locals attempted to transport the injured to the Bayasi Primary Health Center, but the priest, Bhagwat Mandal, succumbed to his injuries en route. The four injured women were subsequently referred to Purnia Sadar Hospital for further treatment. Three individuals in the car also sustained minor injuries. The police arrived at the scene and sent the injured for treatment. Authorities have deployed police personnel in the village to maintain order.
