The central government has given the go-ahead for the tender and construction of the Patahi Airport, leading to celebrations across the Tirhut division.
Upon receiving the news, former minister and BJP leader Suresh Sharma, accompanied by supporters, went to the airport to celebrate. They shared sweets with the local residents and party workers. Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary also shared the information on social media. He wrote that the central government has approved the tender and construction of Muzaffarpur’s Patahi Airport, which will utilize pre-fab steel structures. This decision will contribute to the development and improved connectivity of North Bihar. He acknowledged PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for their support.
This project offers an additional air service option for the people of the Tirhut region. The central government’s decision has generated excitement in North Bihar. The airport is expected to boost educational, commercial, economic, and cultural activities. The Tirhut area has felt a need for air services, and this project will be beneficial for business travel and tourism. Flights to various major cities are expected to start soon from Muzaffarpur Airport.
