In response to the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) is introducing a special bus service with fare discounts. This service, available until November 30, is intended to help passengers travel comfortably, given the long waiting lists for train bookings. The initiative involves subsidies on bus fares to make journeys more economical and convenient.
The special buses will operate from Patna, serving key destinations in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and surrounding districts. BSRTC has upgraded its buses with contemporary amenities for the comfort and security of travelers.
The subsidy scheme offers approximately 30% off regular fares. For instance, the Patna-Delhi route fare will be reduced from ₹1873 to ₹1254, with a subsidy of ₹619. The Patna-Nagpur route fare will be lowered to ₹1133 from ₹1527. Furthermore, the Patna-SCR route fare has been reduced from ₹2812 to ₹1893.
Buses from Delhi will depart between 2 PM and 8 PM, arriving in Patna the following day. Passengers can also avail themselves of online ticket booking. Additionally, buses will be available from Patna to cities like Ghaziabad, Mathura, Varanasi, and Hajipur during the festivals. This special offer aims to provide passengers with a secure and affordable means of transport, while enhancing the reputation of BSRTC’s bus services.
