A violent shooting in Patna, Bihar, has resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to three others. The attack took place in the Salimpur area on Saturday evening when a family was targeted by armed individuals. The deceased, Nilesh Kumar, was killed immediately. His family members were also shot, and are currently receiving medical attention.
The incident occurred on the Patna-Bakhtiyarpur highway near Shahpur village. The family had been at a local temple to bless their new vehicle and were returning home when the assault happened. The police were quick to respond, securing the scene and beginning their investigation. The body of the deceased has been taken into custody for a post-mortem examination, and the injured are receiving treatment at a hospital. The SDPO, Abhishek Singh, reported that the perpetrators arrived in a car and started firing. Police are actively searching for the individuals involved and are looking at possible motives, including existing rivalries, that may have led to the attack.
