Bihar has inaugurated a state-of-the-art drug control laboratory in Patna to strengthen its healthcare services. The lab, costing ₹30 crore, was inaugurated by Health Minister Mangal Pandey at the GNM Training Institute, NMCH, Agamkuan. This lab features advanced equipment, enabling the quality testing of drugs and food products within the state.
This new initiative eliminates the need to send samples to other states for testing, significantly reducing the time required for quality checks. The laboratory houses 28 modern instruments, allowing for detailed analysis and ensuring the availability of high-quality medicines. This initiative will contribute to the government’s vision of a ‘Safe India, Healthy India,’ ensuring the health security of the state’s 13 crore population. The inauguration was attended by key officials, including the Assembly Speaker and senior health administrators.
