Bihar’s agricultural sector is seeing rapid progress through the use of modern technology and scientific methods. One of the most notable examples is the increase in banana production. Supported by the Bihar government’s initiatives and the dedication of the farmers, banana production has increased over three times. This demonstrates the state’s successful agricultural policies and technological innovations. In 2004-05, the total banana production was 5.45 lakh metric tons, and by 2022-23, this figure rose to 19.68 lakh metric tons.
