To better serve travelers during the festive season, Indian Railways has announced a series of improvements for Bihar. A key element of this is the introduction of 12,000 special trains that will run for two months during Diwali and Chhath Puja. Passengers will benefit from a 20% discount on return tickets. This discount is available for return journeys scheduled between November 17th and December 1st, if the initial journey took place between October 13th and 26th.
The new train services include the Amrit Bharat Express and the Buddha Circuit trains. These will connect multiple cities, with routes such as Gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad. The Buddha Circuit trains will connect Vaishali, Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, Fatuha, Rajgir, Natesar, Gaya, and Koderma. In addition, a Vande Bharat train will operate from Purnea to Patna. In addition to these services, the railway will also undertake substantial infrastructure projects in Bihar.
