The political climate in Bihar is intensifying in the lead-up to the assembly elections, with an escalation in the war of words among political leaders. A recent development involves a viral video featuring Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav dancing with supporters and his nephew on Patna’s JP Ganga Path. This video generated significant social media attention, attracting both positive and critical comments. Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi weighed in, suggesting that during the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav, such youths might have been subjected to forced dancing at the Chief Minister’s residence under threat, highlighting what he considered the true essence of good governance.
Following the closing of the Voter Adhikar Yatra on September 1st, the Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, was seen dancing on the street at midnight with a group of young people. Commenting on this video, Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi remarked that the Leader of the Opposition, witnessing this group of youths dancing on the illuminated roads of Bihar at midnight, would have gained an insight into the nature of good governance. He underscored that Tejashwi would have seen the actual demonstration of good governance in Bihar during that late-night gathering.
Recalling the era of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Jitan Ram Manjhi suggested that under those circumstances of ‘jungle raj,’ these youths, including Tejashwi Yadav, would have likely been kidnapped by goons and forced to dance at gunpoint at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Acknowledging the good governance of the Nitish Kumar-led administration, Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi highlighted that Tejashwi Yadav has directly witnessed the good governance of the NDA government. Despite this, he continues to level unsubstantiated accusations against the Bihar government for political advantage. However, the people of Bihar are cognizant and recognize the impact of the NDA’s good governance.
Advising Tejashwi Yadav, Manjhi emphasized that he should understand the importance of the NDA for the progress of Bihar.
Tejashwi Yadav, who participated in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, which culminated in Patna on September 1st after 16 days, was seen in a joyous mood. He was captured dancing on Patna’s JP Ganga Path with his nephew and supporters. In the viral video, he was observed attempting to dance along with his young admirers.
