The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 1,799 Sub-Inspector (SI) positions in Bihar. The application process will begin on September 26th and conclude on October 26th. Interested and eligible candidates must apply through the official BPSSC website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The official notification was released on September 23rd. To be eligible, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The age limit for applicants is set between 20 and 37 years, with age relaxations provided to female candidates, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other Backward Classes as per government guidelines. The selection process will consist of a preliminary examination, a main written examination, a physical efficiency test, a physical standard test, document verification, and a medical examination. The preliminary exam will have 100 questions, totaling 200 marks, with a duration of two hours. Candidates who score less than 30 percent in the preliminary examination will not be eligible for the main examination. The main examination includes two papers, the first being on general Hindi, comprising 100 questions worth 200 marks, with a time allocation of 2 hours.
