Political dynamics in Bihar are intensifying due to the controversy surrounding disrespectful remarks made about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother. The ruling NDA has called for a Bihar bandh on September 4th as a form of protest. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and all its partners within the NDA are participating in the bandh.
During a recent event, PM Modi stated that while he may forgive RJD and Congress for the offense, the people of Bihar would not. The BJP is developing an extensive campaign to address the issue at all levels. This includes taking the issue to the grassroots, organizing protests, and actively engaging with the public.
A significant BJP meeting will be held in Delhi on Wednesday to discuss this matter. The meeting will include Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior BJP leaders from Bihar. The primary focus will be on fine-tuning the party’s electoral strategy for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Those expected to attend this crucial meeting are BJP National President JP Nadda, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, both Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Nityanand Rai, organizational in-charge Vinod Tawde, co-in charge Deepak Prakash, and senior leaders Bhikhubhai Dalsania and Nagendranath. The agenda includes discussions on organizational improvements, significant political issues, coordination with the NDA, feedback gathered from the ground, and assessment of the government’s performance. Moreover, the meeting will also analyze the impact of the opposition’s ‘Voter Rights Yatra’.
The BJP aims to leverage the issue of the derogatory comments made about PM Modi’s mother to connect with the electorate. The party intends to conduct protests and public demonstrations, underlining the gravity of the insult and highlighting the potential implications if the current opposition were to come into power.
The BJP is paying special attention to the Seemanchal region, targeting the 30 seats in Katihar, Purnia, Araria, and Kishanganj. Preparations are underway for PM Modi’s rally in Purnia on September 15th, as his visit to the Seemanchal region is of critical importance and expected to impact the outcome of the 30 seats. It’s anticipated that PM Modi will announce various infrastructure projects and other development initiatives during the rally, including plans for an airport.
The BJP is also assessing the grassroots influence of Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party to determine its potential effect on the NDA’s chances. The BJP has divided Bihar into 11 blocks for organizational purposes, and PM Modi’s visit schedule is designed to encompass all of these blocks.
