With Bihar’s upcoming assembly elections, political strategies are being developed. A significant topic of conversation is the selection of the Chief Ministerial candidate for the opposition alliance. Tejashwi Yadav, a key figure in the RJD, has consistently expressed his ambition for the CM position. At the TV9 Digital Bihar meeting, he reiterated his claim. These statements have provoked responses.
BJP MP Manan Kumar Mishra commented, suggesting that Yadav’s CM aspirations are not widely supported. Mishra implied that the alliance is facing internal disagreements as the elections approach.
“Congress Unsure of Tejashwi as CM”
The MP stated that even the Congress party hasn’t recognized Yadav as the CM candidate. He noted that the Congress has not released a statement supporting Yadav, and he believes this implies internal tension within the alliance.
“No CM Candidate Issue in Alliance”
Congress spokesperson Rajesh Rathore clarified that the decision of the CM will be made by the party as a whole. He highlighted that the Congress is contesting the elections under Tejashwi Yadav’s coordination. Rathore stated that the CM face will be finalized through discussions. He also stated the alliance had no issues regarding the CM candidate.
“If 2020 Elections Were Fair, Tejashwi Would Be CM”
The Congress spokesperson stated that the India alliance leadership will determine the CM candidate and that the decision will be made known when appropriate. He also said that if the 2020 election results had not been disputed, Tejashwi Yadav would be the CM today.
Tejashwi Yadav Claims CM Position
Tejashwi Yadav stated that he is the sole candidate for the CM position. He said that he is going to be the Chief Minister and that an official announcement will follow after the seat-sharing agreement.
