A 25-year-old woman was abducted and gang-raped in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, in a recent incident that has raised concerns about the safety of women in the state. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday evening, is the fifth such case reported in Odisha within the last two weeks. The woman was reportedly targeted after accepting a ride from two individuals on a motorcycle. She was taken to a remote location, where the assault occurred. Police have arrested one suspect and are actively pursuing the others involved. This case adds to a troubling pattern of sexual assaults in the state, with previous incidents reported in various districts, including Gopalpur, Keonjhar, and Berhampur.
