Haryana police arrested Sanjay Singh, a coaching center operator from Patna, for allegedly masterminding an online fraud that defrauded people of ₹2.40 crore. The arrest happened on Saturday in the Pirbahore area. Singh is accused of being part of a group that carried out digital arrest scams. The arrest was made based on a case filed in Rohtak, Haryana. During interrogation, Singh first denied the charges, but confessed after the police presented his bank records. He admitted to being involved in the scam because of financial problems, adding his role was confined to collecting money from victims. Singh also shared information about the main orchestrator, who is a resident of Bihar. Following the arrest, the police have made progress, with an additional individual taken into custody, though later released.
