Voters in Bihar have cast their ballots in the 2025 Assembly elections, with high participation rates recorded in both phases. As the anticipation builds for the November 14 vote count, exit poll results are indicating a strong showing for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Numerous exit polls predict the NDA will secure a comfortable majority, with seat projections ranging widely but often landing between 130 and 160. This places the Mahagathbandhan, an alliance of RJD and its partners, in a difficult position, as most predictions suggest they will struggle to reach the majority mark, with estimates typically between 70 and 100 seats. The vote share data, as seen in the Peoples Pulse poll, supports this trend, giving the NDA an edge with 46.2% compared to the Mahagathbandhan’s 37.9%. While Tejashwi Yadav was a prominent face for the opposition, the exit polls suggest that the leadership of Nitish Kumar within the NDA alliance remains a compelling force for Bihar’s electorate.
