Bareilly police have arrested Idris and Iqbal after an encounter, linking them to the recent violence. The two were shot in the leg after being confronted by CBganj police and now face charges of inciting violence and firing at police. The incident is connected to the post-Friday prayers riots in the Islamia Inter College area. Besides arresting the suspects, police recovered stolen firearms, including a government-issued anti-riot gun. The suspects were intercepted near the Bandia Canal Highway culvert. Idris and Iqbal have extensive criminal records, with multiple cases for theft, robbery, and weapons-related charges.
