Ayodhya decked up for ‘Deepotsav’; 5.51 lakh diyas to lit up city

Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram has been illuminated and bedecked like never before. Lights, colours and festive mood have set the stage for even grander Diwali celebration than previous years.

Preparations are in final stages for grand ‘Deepotsav’ organised by the Uttar Pradesh government at Ram ki Paidi ghats in the holy town.

The entire Ayodhya city has been illuminated for the Deepotsav, with all roads, streets being lit up.

The city is is being decorated with diyas as 5.51 lakh earthen lamps will be lit at Ram ki Paidi ghats this evening.

Moreover, there will be 11 tableaux, based on chapters of Ramcharitmanas, and a ‘darbar’ of Ram Lalla will also be depicted, said the State’s Department of Culture.
