Andhra govt postpones intermediate exams indefinitely

THE ANDHRA Pradesh authorities on Sunday indefinitely postponed Intermediate examinations that have been scheduled to be held from May 5.
The resolution was taken after the AP High Court directed the state authorities to rethink its resolution to carry exams from May 5 whereas haring a public curiosity litigation (PIL) stating that almost 17 lakh college students can be uncovered to Covid-19 virus if the exams are carried out.
Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh mentioned that the examinations have been scheduled to begin from May 5, however attributable to a spike in Covid instances throughout the state, the High Court has steered reconsidering the choice and the federal government had postponed the examinations.
“The new dates for conducting inter-examinations will be announced as soon as the pandemic eases,” he mentioned.
