Alt News co-founder Zubair remanded to 14-day judicial custody, to stay in Tihar

LUCKNOW: Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair was dropped at Sitapur by the Delhi police in reference to a case registered towards him for allegedly hurting the spiritual sentiments of a neighborhood via his tweet on Mahant Bajrang Muni, Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati and Swami Anand Swaroop.

According to IG Lucknow Range, Laxmi Singh, Zubair was produced earlier than a courtroom at Sitapur within the abovementioned case. The Alt information co-founder had allegedly referred to the three spiritual individuals as “hate mongers” in his tweet.

The case was registered towards Zubair on the idea of a criticism submitted by one Bhagwan Sharan on May 27 for the alleged derogatory tweet towards Mahant Bajrang Muni, Yati Narsinghanand and Swami Anand Swaroop.

While the Uttar Pradesh police had filed a cost sheet towards Zubair within the case, it was adopted by a warrant B towards him as he was booked on the costs of injuring spiritual sentiments and beneath related sections of the Information Technology Act, mentioned IG Laxmi Singh.

Though the Sitspur courtroom remanded Zubair to 14-day judicial custody in reference to the case, he would stay in Delhi’s Tihar jail the place he was lodged after his arrest on June 27 in one other case of injuring spiritual sentiments.
