A passenger from Jaipur, Aarzoo Sethi, has brought to light a troubling experience on an Air India Express flight. Sethi, a dietitian and nutrition consultant, recounted the ordeal of Flight IX196, which saw passengers stuck on board for over five hours with no air conditioning or updates. The absence of crew interaction and assistance further exacerbated the situation, as revealed in a video posted by Sethi on Instagram.
The video showcased passengers struggling with the heat, visibly distressed and trying to cool down. Sethi’s commentary focused on the lack of response from the crew, despite attempts to seek assistance. Her post underscored her son’s discomfort. She also expressed concern regarding the airline’s failure to communicate the nature of the problem to the affected travelers.
In the caption, Sethi stated that they were ‘stranded inside’ the plane with ‘no AC, no communication, and zero assistance from the crew.’ The incident has been described as a ‘serious safety lapse.’
Air India Express has yet to respond to the criticism.
