Good news for travelers! The upcoming Agra-Aligarh Expressway promises to cut travel time between the two cities to just an hour. This four-lane expressway, part of the Bharat Mala project, will span 65 kilometers and is estimated to cost Rs 1536.9 crore. The project is expected to be completed soon. The first phase will connect National Highway 509 in Aligarh to Asroi village near Hathras. The route will also connect to the Bareilly-Mathura Highway and Agra-Noida Yamuna Expressway and also be an alternate route for residents of Aligarh and Hathras. The project involves land acquisition across 48 villages, with compensation already provided to a significant number of farmers.
