The advertising fraternity is in mourning following the death of Piyush Pandey, a legendary figure who passed away at 70. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Pandey, calling his work a “monumental contribution” to advertising and communications. Pandey, renowned for his innovative campaigns and the use of everyday language in advertising, was a recipient of the Padma Shri and the LIA Legend Award. His passing marks the end of an era for Indian advertising, with his work on the 2014 election campaign for Prime Minister Modi being particularly noteworthy and impactful.
