Delhi Police have taken decisive action, busting a fake call center and arresting 11 people. The individuals arrested are accused of posing as bank employees to defraud people. Over 100 complaints have been registered with the police from different parts of the country, indicating a total fraud of ₹40 lakh. One such case involved a person who received a call from someone pretending to be a bank executive, offering to increase their credit limit. Soon after, ₹33,000 was fraudulently withdrawn using their credit card. Separately, the Bhopal Crime Branch has initiated an FIR regarding alleged fraudulent withdrawal of scholarship funds, exceeding ₹57 lakh, from madrasas and other institutions.
