In such a situation the customer is stuck in a huge dilemma. This dilemma is more so when the customer has used another bank’s ATM. Such customers do not understand what to do and what not to do. There is no need to disappoint and frustrate customers when caught in such a situation.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rules fully protect customers. RBI has made a guideline on this. According to RBI, the customer should file a complaint with the card issuing bank at the earliest, irrespective of whether the card is used at its own bank’s ATM or other bank’s ATM.

There is no need for the customers to relax on their behalf before filing a complaint. Customers should keep the SMS containing the transaction. Customers should visit their nearest branch to make a complaint. After this, the bank officials will scan the transaction number printed in your SMS to find out if there is a mess. As soon as they find out that the transaction has failed, you will get the pie back.
