Actor Manoj Mishra is busy shooting for a Hindi film in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. The actor, who has acted in Ollywood, Bollywood and several other regional film industries, is cast in the film alongside popular Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh, actors Yaspal Sharma, Chetan Pandit and Vijay Shrivastav.

The film Yuwa, has a sports related story and is based in rural Jharkhand. “It’s based on football. I play a former footballer, who is now wheelchair bound. My character trains a girl from a village and makes her a champion player. This is the gist of the story. The girl is the main protagonist and I play a vital role in this movie,” said Manoj. The film is directed by Shailesh Parasar.
After the lockdown, Manoj has been very active and shooting for films in different languages. After finishing a few projects in Odisha and Mumbai, he has been shooting for this film for a few weeks now. “The shooting will go on for the next few days. There is a shooting scheduled in the football stadium in Ranchi. As I am playing a disabled ex-footballer who trains the girl from a wheel-chair, it needs me to go deep into the character. I know a few things about football since my father was a footballer,” said the actor, adding that he feels lucky to have bagged this role.
