Gym and yoga center will open from today in Delhi

Unlock 4.0: Gym and Yoga Center will also be open in Delhi from today. After a long struggle, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) gave permission to open gym and yoga center from Monday. Delhi Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Dev issued its order. Gyms and yoga centers will have to follow the SOP issued by the central government.
As per the order of Delhi government, in addition to gym and yoga center, weekly market has also been allowed to open till 30 September. From 14 September to 30 September, all the 3 Municipal Corporations / Delhi Cantonment Board will open a weekly market in one zone.
Gym owners and yoga center operators have been demanding to open these for a long time, but the DDMA was not allowing it due to the Corona crisis. DDMA was also ignoring Delhi government’s appeal. Now about 5500 gyms will open in Delhi from today. They have to follow the standard operating procedure (SOP). According to the SOP, there will be one person in every 4 sqm inside the gym. The person has to keep the hand sanitized at least every 20 seconds. The gym operator must ensure that the equipment is spaced six feet apart. Sanitation and thermal screening should be done at the entrance of the gym and it will be mandatory to apply face mask.
