Social media is currently a hotbed of rumors surrounding cricketer Smriti Mandhana and filmmaker Palaash Muchhal, with unsubstantiated claims of infidelity targeting Muchhal. An anonymous post on Reddit has also implicated a choreographer, Nandika Dwivedi, who was involved with the couple’s wedding, which was unexpectedly postponed. To quell the growing misinformation, Gulnaaz, a fellow choreographer and colleague of Dwivedi, has publicly denied any involvement. Gulnaaz, who works with Bosco’s professional team, took to Instagram Stories to issue a clear statement. She emphasized that neither she nor Dwivedi are connected to the personal drama between Mandhana and Muchhal. The unfounded allegations against the choreographers gained traction as the speculation surrounding Muchhal’s alleged cheating escalated online.
“We are not the people involved in this issue,” Gulnaaz declared, defending her and Dwivedi’s reputations. She further explained, “I’ve been noticing a lot of speculation and false claims going around about me and my friend Nandika, so I want to make it clear that we are not the people involved in this issue. Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions. We appreciate your understanding and support.” In the wake of these allegations, Nandika Dwivedi’s social media accounts were subsequently set to private.
The rumor mill churned even faster after Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal’s wedding was abruptly halted last week. Observers noticed that Mandhana had removed all traces of wedding-related posts from her Instagram, including engagement and proposal photos. This silence from the couple fueled widespread conjecture on platforms like Reddit, Instagram, and X. Mandhana, 29, vice-captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, and Muchhal, 30, were due to be married after a long relationship. The wedding was postponed just hours before the main ceremony. Initial reports pointed to a medical emergency involving Mandhana’s father as the reason for the delay. As of now, neither Mandhana, Muchhal, nor their families have offered any official explanation for the postponement or the deleted posts. Sources close to the families and the wedding organizers insist that the ceremony was delayed exclusively due to a medical emergency.
