Vicky Kaushal’s major film project has been hit with a setback. The upcoming film, for which preparations were in full swing, has experienced a significant delay. The film’s first look had been revealed, with an intended release year of 2026. This is potentially because Ranbir Kapoor’s film, ‘Love and War’, is planned for an early 2026 release. As a result, the release of ‘Mahavtar’ is now postponed. Initial plans were to release the film in December 2026. However, with the postponement, this date has become available for other productions. The film is now anticipated to begin shooting next year in April, which makes a December release challenging, thus pushing the release to 2027. The delay is compounded by the ongoing work on ‘Love and War’, also featuring Vicky Kaushal. Furthermore, the role of Lord Parshuram demands a muscular physique for Vicky, necessitating intense physical training, followed by six months of shooting and extensive post-production involving CGI and visual effects.
