Netflix is preparing to release a slate of K-dramas in September 2025, featuring a variety of genres, including thrillers, dramas, and action films. Several series will conclude their runs this month, making September a key period for viewers. The new releases include adaptations, original series, and continuations of successful stories.
“Queen Mantis,” a dark thriller inspired by the French series La Mante, follows a detective who must team up with his incarcerated serial killer mother to solve new crimes that mimic her past. The series will be available on Netflix and Viki starting September 5, starring Go Hyun-jung, Jang Dong-yoon, Cho Seong-ha, and Lee El.
“Confidence Queen” stars Park Min-young as Yi-rang, a con artist who leads a team of tricksters in exciting scams. The series will stream on Amazon Prime starting September 6, co-starring Park Hee-soon and Joo Jong-hyuk.
“Tempest” follows a diplomat and a special agent as they uncover a conspiracy after a presidential candidate is shot. The series features Jun Ji-hyun, Gang Dong-won, John Cho, Lee Mi-sook, and Park Hae-joon and is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 10.
“You and Everything Else” is an emotional drama focusing on two lifelong friends. The series, starring Kim Go-eun, Park Ji-hyun, and Kim Gun-woo, explores themes of love and loss and will be released on Netflix on September 12.
“Mantis,” a new Netflix action film and a sequel to Kill Boksoon, features Yim Si Wan as an assassin navigating a chaotic underworld. The film also stars Park Gyu Young and Jo Woo Jin and is set to premiere on September 26.
Concluding in September are the dramas “Beyond the Bar” and “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.”
