Ranbir Kapoor, one of Hindi cinema’s top actors, is involved in several major projects with leading directors. These include ‘Ramayana,’ ‘Love and War,’ and ‘Dhoom 4.’ He is also on the radar of many other directors. A sequel to a blockbuster film has him in consideration, but he is up against a strong competitor: an actor who has earned 1800 crores.
Subhash B settled a two-year legal battle with Shemaroo Entertainment, paving the way for the ‘Disco Dancer’ sequel, after the Bombay High Court ruled in his favor. This sequel will feature Mithun Chakraborty.
Subhash, discussing the sequel, revealed that he is deciding on the lead actors, with both Ranbir Kapoor and Allu Arjun being considered. He noted that both are talented actors and dancers.
K.V. Vijayendra Prasad will be writing the story and screenplay. The co-producer, Nitin Gupta, aims to present a fresh narrative while retaining the core elements of the original.
Allu Arjun poses a significant challenge to Ranbir Kapoor due to his large fan base, especially after the success of ‘Pushpa,’ which has also made him popular in North India. If Allu Arjun accepts the role, Ranbir Kapoor could lose out on a major project. ‘Pushpa 2’ earned over 1800 crores, making Allu Arjun a strong contender.
