The television industry witnessed notable changes in week 35, as indicated by BARC India’s TRP data. A noticeable decrease in TRP ratings was observed across all TV serials. A major highlight is the absence of reality shows in the top 10 list. However, the popularity of reality shows remains robust. ‘Bigg Boss’ maintained its leading position among reality shows. Though not in the overall top 10, ‘Bigg Boss’ led the reality show rankings, achieving a rating of 1.2, competing fiercely with other shows. Its release on Jio Hotstar before television broadcast, with a delay of one and a half hours, hasn’t affected its performance. ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga’, another Colors TV show, also provided strong competition, securing a rating of 1.2. ‘Super Dancer’ took the third spot with 0.9, while ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) saw a decline, with Amitabh Bachchan’s show ranking fourth with 0.7. ‘Chhoriyan Chali Gaon’ from Zee TV was fifth with 0.6. The Ganesh Chaturthi festival affected the ratings. Dramas and daily soaps dominated, while reality shows slightly trailed, though ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga’ maintained their appeal.
