Teja Sajja’s latest offering, ‘Mirai,’ has proven successful in Indian theaters, overcoming competition to secure a strong position at the box office. The film is an action-adventure that centers around a warrior’s quest to protect nine sacred scriptures, which have the power to transform mortals into deities.
‘Mirai’ is estimated to have earned Rs 16.50 crore on its third day of release, according to Sacnilk. The movie’s cumulative earnings now stand at Rs 44.50 crore.
In an interview, Teja explained that he was cast in ‘Mirai’ after the success of ‘HanuMan.’ Director Karthik Ghattamaneni approached him, highlighting the film’s challenges to gauge his commitment to the project. Teja’s response sealed his involvement.
The film’s conclusion promises a sequel, titled ‘Mirai: Jaithraya.’ A mid-credit scene introduces Rana Daggubati as a villain, suggesting a role in the sequel. The character is depicted with a superpower, creating anticipation for the next installment.
The cast includes Manchu Manoj, who plays the antagonist, and features Ritika Nayak and Shriya Saran in other key roles.
