The wedding celebrations of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal have been abruptly interrupted by a serious family health crisis. Smriti’s father fell gravely ill during the festivities, prompting an immediate halt to the wedding proceedings. This unexpected situation led to a flurry of online speculation and unfortunate rumors, with Palash Muchhal facing unfounded accusations.
Compounding the distress, Palash was subsequently hospitalized in Mumbai, reportedly suffering from exhaustion. The online sentiment shifted further as Smriti and her family removed all wedding-related posts from their social media accounts. Amidst the difficult circumstances, Palash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, has voiced her support, urging the public to show compassion. “Palash is going through a critical condition today. You all should not judge him without knowing the truth… Pray for him,” she wrote, emphasizing the need for privacy and accurate information.
Earlier, Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister, had formally announced the postponement of the wedding due to Smriti’s father’s health, requesting families’ privacy. The wedding was reportedly scheduled for November 23rd, and pre-wedding rituals like haldi and sangeet had been widely shared online. The couple had also received good wishes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a pre-wedding letter.
