‘War 2,’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, is a highly anticipated film from the YRF spy universe. The film is on track for its release in 2025. The CBFC, which certified the film on August 6, has given it a U/A 16+ certificate. This means that individuals aged 16 and above can watch the movie, but parental guidance is advised for those under 16. Before issuing the certificate, the CBFC made several changes.
No changes were required for the action scenes. However, alterations were made in other scenes and audio-visual aspects. The filmmakers were instructed to mute inappropriate content in six different instances in the audio and visuals. Additionally, an offensive dialogue was replaced. A character’s gesture of two seconds was also removed by the board. Moreover, the CBFC has asked the makers to reduce the sensual scenes by 50 percent, which is approximately nine seconds. It is believed that these removals involve Kiara Advani’s scenes in the song ‘Aavan Jaavan’.
‘War 2’ is directed by Ayan Mukerji and has a budget of 200 crore rupees. The film will be released in theaters on August 14, 2025. The original ‘War,’ which featured Hrithik Roshan as the lead, was released in 2019. ‘War 2’ will also mark the Hindi cinema debut of Jr. NTR, who is set to play a negative role.
