Akarsh Khurana’s ‘Karwaan’ tackles the difficult task of finding humor in the midst of mortality. Although the film suffers from some pacing problems, it generally maintains its appeal. The plot includes various detours. The storyline of Dulquer’s Avinash, a discontented office worker with creative aspirations, adds to the narrative. ‘Karwaan’ echoes aspects of ‘Kodachrome’, a film exploring a road trip narrative. The character of Irrfan’s Shaukat delivers memorable moments. The film’s musical sequences feel out of place. Despite its shortcomings, ‘Karwaan’ is a heartwarming road trip with its empathy for the characters.
