Recent reports and speculation regarding the casting of the ‘Shaktimaan’ movie have been addressed by director Basil Joseph, who has confirmed that Ranveer Singh will play the lead role. The announcement dismisses rumors suggesting that Allu Arjun would replace Singh in the film based on the iconic Doordarshan series. The original ‘Shaktimaan’ television show, which aired for eight years starting in 1997, featured Mukesh Khanna. Joseph is overseeing the writing and direction of the film and has confirmed that Ranveer Singh was always the choice for the role. Sources close to the project have also denied any plans to replace Singh.
