Actress and comedian Priya Marathe, famed for her portrayal of Varsha Satish in the popular television series ‘Pavitra Rishta’, has passed away in Mumbai. The actress was 38 years old at the time of her passing on August 31, 2025, following a battle with cancer. Marathe, who had been receiving treatment for over a year, started her career in Marathi serials before making her mark in Hindi television. She also showcased her comedic skills in the first season of ‘Comedy Circus’. Her role in ‘Pavitra Rishta’ was a pivotal point in her career, and she subsequently starred in shows like ‘Tu Tithe Me’, ‘Bhaage Re Mann’, and ‘Jayastute’. She married actor Shantanu Moghe in 2012.
