The 2025 Emmy Awards saw Owen Cooper, the 15-year-old star of Netflix’s ‘Adolescence,’ achieve a remarkable feat by becoming the youngest male actor to win an Emmy. Cooper won in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category for his performance as Jamie Miller in the series. ‘Adolescence’ explores the complexities of family life following the arrest of a 13-year-old. Cooper began his acting journey with The Drama Mob. He’s also slated to feature in the movie ‘Wuthering Heights’ and the BBC series ‘Film Club.’ Before the Emmy, Cooper’s talent was acknowledged with a Gotham TV award. During his acceptance speech, Cooper shared a message encouraging others to embrace challenges and pursue their goals. Stephen Graham, one of the creators of ‘Adolescence,’ hinted at the possibility of a second season. The show was directed by Philip Barantini and co-written by Graham and Jack Thorne.
