Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his role as Doctor Doom, adding to the excitement. According to recent reports, the first glimpse of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ whether a teaser or a full trailer, is slated for release soon, potentially in theaters alongside another major film.
Multiple sources indicate that the initial footage starring Robert Downey Jr. could be exclusively shown in theaters with ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ on December 19. Marvel Studios hasn’t yet confirmed these rumors.
The confirmed cast includes Pedro Pascal, Chris Hemsworth, Channing Tatum, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and James Marsden. These actors have already starred in various Marvel projects, including ‘The Fantastic Four,’ ‘Thunderbolts,’ ‘Black Panther,’ and ‘X-Men.’
Rumors also suggest that Jeremy Renner, Tom Holland, Hayley Atwell, Benedict Wong, Chris Evans, and Ryan Reynolds might have cameo appearances.
Doctor Doom’s introduction took place in ‘The Fantastic Four.’ The movie focuses on four astronauts—Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm—who acquire superpowers after being exposed to cosmic radiation. They transform into Earth’s protectors. Simultaneously, Reed and Sue prepare for parenthood. However, a crisis unfolds as Earth is threatened by Galactus. They also discover that Reed and Sue’s newborn son, Franklin, will have extraordinary powers.
‘Fantastic Four’ successfully saves the world by defeating Galactus. The scene then transitions to four years later, depicting Sue with her son. After leaving the room, she is surprised to find Franklin with a cloaked man in green, holding an iron mask. While the figure’s identity hasn’t been confirmed, it is thought to be Doctor Doom.
The scene ends with the statement, ‘The Fantastic Four will return in Avengers: Doomsday,’ suggesting that Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm will play a significant role in future Marvel movies as they fight against Doctor Doom.
